This month’s “Stain of the Month” is Ebony (shown on red oak hardwood flooring above). One of the most popular, or at least most commonly picked stain for most job’s we’ve done. Ebony is a dark, deep brown stain that almost looks black when first applied. After drying, ebony stain gives of the effect of a dark brown floor while leaving room to still see the wood grain popping through. Ebony goes good with almost any color in your home and is the perfect contrast if you decide on white walls or trim.
